9/14/08 Workout

My usual lifting days are Sunday, Thursday, Friday; then I try and get in two days of some kind of cardio/interval work. That's where my problems have been lately--have not been consistent with those. Overwhelmed with work, but I do not/will not miss my gym lifting days.

Well, it's the end of a crazy, busy week. I got in my three workouts, but not enough 'cardio'. After I finished training this morning, I put my weekend chores on hold and went for a 3.5 mile run. Feel better about things now. Need to get going on this again as a there's a group from the gym that want to run a 5K in about a month. The distance is no problem, but I'd really like to pick up my times a bit. Everyone on here has become quite the inspiration for me with all of your determination...

Food so far for the day: oatmeal w/protein powder, drank some BCAA's while working out, couple of protein pancakes, getting ready to have some grilled chicken and leftover broccoli!

Note though, I train differently that what most of you are looking for..I train a little heavier, but that's what works for me. I have muscle, but by no means look 'masculine' or 'manly'. I monitor where I'm at, and adjust accordingly so things don't get too big or bulky. Just wanted to point that out. ...
